Welcome to the Entrepreneur Interview Sign-up Page

But first, we want to thank you. Thank you for being willing to use your story as a teaching tool and learning opportunity for other entrepreneurs who are in the same shoes as you not long ago. Maybe someone reached a hand down to you when you first started, a mentor, a coach, or even a friend. That helping hand, or many hands, brought you to where you are today. By joining us in the Entrepreneur Interview, you have the opportunity to do the same for others, but instead of just helping one or two people, you have the possibility to help hundreds or thousands of beginning and aspiring entrepreneurs just like you.

TLDR: Have a conversation with our Director of Communications Em and watch your story get crafted into a meaningful guide to all the former “you’s” of the world and leave a roadmap for future entrepreneurs.

Without further ado, let’s jump into what makes the Entrepreneur Interviews something you’ll want to be part of.

Whether you are looking to share your story, wanting more information, or stumbled here on accident, welcome! This page will give you a quick rundown of what our Entrepreneur Interviews (EI) are all about – the name kind of gives it away, how they work, and what to do with the blog post once your story is live. We are firm believers that every story has value (thanks, Josh Gates!), and yours is worth telling.

Let's Tell Your Story and Inspire Others

Why Your Story Matters

As the wise, and sometimes weird, world traveler and TV host extraordinaire Josh Gates says, “every story has value,” and we couldn’t agree more.

Every challenge you’ve faced and every success you’ve achieved came with valuable lessons, whether you realize it yet or not. Those lessons can be the exact piece of knowledge or encouragement another entrepreneur needs to hear to beat the slump and keep going. The skills you’ve learned along the way can be the blueprint to benefiting someone else’s business.

By sharing your story, you can:

  • Inspire Others: Your experiences, both the highs and the lows, matter. They can guide and motivate others during challenging and uncertain times in their growing business. Your story has the power to energize the next round of entrepreneurs!

  • Build a Community: Entrepreneurs work best in a community of people who understand their struggles and successes. By coming together, we can support each other, creating a network of entrepreneurs who lift each other up. Your participation strengthens our collective journey.

  • Provide Practical Insights: In the beginning of business building, the simple yet vital steps are often overshadowed by the 10,000-foot view, broad-level advice, but that’s not what new entrepreneurs need. Instead, they need to hear about the nitty-gritty details often overlooked that offer real, actionable wisdom. Your firsthand knowledge is invaluable.

What We Aim to Achieve

The mission of the Entrepreneur Interview is twofold:

  1. Share Lived Insights: Your journey is filled with valuable and exclusive-to-you lessons. By sharing these, you can help, encourage, and guide fellow entrepreneurs. Every experience is unique and has the potential to make a significant impact.

  2. Highlight Your Expertise: Together, we get to showcase your knowledge and skills in a relatable and in-depth way. This is an opportunity to tell your story, share your journey, and show more than just the business side of yourself.  Let your personality and values shine through, connecting with your audience authentically.

What We Offer

While we aim to uphold our business mission, to guide and empower entrepreneurs to succeed, in everything we do, including the EI’s, it wouldn’t be possible without the willing participation of amazing entrepreneurs like you. Not only will your story help others, but we want it to be something you are proud of as well, because let’s call it like it is, you’re a badass, and everyone should know it.

To ensure that happens, we have three primary goals to make your Entrepreneur Interview something you’re proud of as well.

  1. Personalized Interview Experience: Work directly with Em throughout the whole process to craft an engaging and authentic narrative. At the end of each EI blog post, we include a "Meet the Entrepreneur" section to put a face to the name and a way to contact you for further information.

  2. High-Quality Content Creation: Receive a professionally written article from Em, a published journalist, for you to share on your platforms. If you choose, the blog post can also include your band colors, meeting your standard for branded content as well.

  3. Promotion on Our Channels: In addition to sharing the EI wherever you’d like, we will also feature your interview on our website and share across our growing social media channels.

How It Works

Pre-Interview
  1. Schedule an introductory call: Book a half-hour timeslot with Em to break the ice and share more about yourself, your entrepreneurial background, and your story. This will help guide the questions list that drives the interview. Follow the link here or click the button below.

  2. Set Up Your Interview Time: At the end of the introductory call, set up a date and time that works well for you. The interviews are one hour in length and conducted through Microsoft Teams (no, you don’t need a Teams account to access the link).

  3. Prepare for the Interview: Following the introductory call, you’ll receive a guided list of questions prior to the interview that will help steer the conversation. These are for your benefit to help get you thinking about your experiences prior to the interview but are not limiting to the areas we discuss.

**For our own accuracy and correctness, the interviews will be recorded to provide us with the transcript and will not be shared after the interview has concluded. If you have any issues with this, please mention it during the introductory call.

Participate in the Interview!

It’s really that simple. Join at your scheduled day and be ready for a fun, thought-provoking conversation to pull out the best parts of your story. It’s ok, we want you to brag about yourself here.

Post-Interview
  1. Review the Blog Draft: The next Friday after your interview, you’ll receive the blog post copy in its entirety as a PDF ready for your feedback. Your input is crucial to ensure it accurately reflects you and your journey.

  2. Provide Feedback and Content: Submit any changes via email to help perfect the blog post. Also include additional resources such as pictures, contact information, a headshot, and a brief bio for the “About the Entrepreneur” section at the bottom of the page.

  3. Final Edits and Posting: We'll make the requested changes and send you a link once your story is live on our site. EIs are posted on Wednesdays, and you'll receive the publication date once it's scheduled.

  4. Share Your Story: Remember, this is all about you! Allow others to see your journey in a different light, sharing unique parts of your story in ways they may not have seen before. This is perfect to highlight the human behind the business, especially with customers who are always looking to feel more connected to the brands they identify with. You can read, share, and use it to promote yourself and your business. Please note, the blog post must remain linked to L2Business.com.

The process is divided into three steps: pre-interview, interview, and post-interview. Pretty simple, yeah? Thankfully Em does all the heavy lifting, so you get the fun part of talking about your experiences and seeing them come to life in a unique and creative way, designed to let your voice shine.
